Reflection

This project has allowed me to learn how to use many new things. Not only with new technology, but as well as time management and organization skills. But mainly technology. I walked into this classroom clueless about what I was going to learn. But now I've started to learn a lot about how to use technology! I used to just use my phone for social media and google, but I've learned that I can make cool short clips and edit as well. I've learned how to put videos together so that they switch on beat with a song. My teacher also taught us how to copy the HTML code from the video and place it directly onto our blog! As this assignment helped me learn more about technology, it also helped me learn more about time management and staying on top of my work. I thought that I had all the time in the world to work on my production blogs. But after i completed the first one, I realized I had less time than I thought I did. Since these blogs did not have a set in stone due date, I fell

Here it is: the finished product! I had a lot of fun making this project. But the audio and video got a bit delayed which is unfortunate.

I am finally done with my commercial! After a rough patch with deleting the original, I was finally able to get the show on the road. I began my video by (of course) clicking the 'New project' button. I put all of my pictures and videos in a folder so that I can easily locate them, which is something I didn't do the first time. I had many pictures and videos now. Some from when I was a kid and a lot of recent ones. For some reason, I wasn't able to find as many pieces of media from when I was younger. I wish I was able to have a few more but I couldn't locate many. I added all of my pictures and videos to my project and rearranged them how I liked. Making sure to even out and mix some videos around to make it look smoother. After rearranging my images, I had to edit the length of the videos since a lot of them were pretty lengthy. I narrowed each video down to 3-8 second clips from my favorite parts. I cut some videos in half, so they will show up at different time

The last time I updated my blog, my entire commercial was accidentally deleted. But, I think it was a good thing. Misclicking and getting rid of my commercial actually led to me creating an even better one. Since I had to go back and search through pictures, I had the opportunity to find new pictures and videos that I could add to my project. I'm glad I did that, because I was able to find some great pieces of media that capture who I am that I completely missed while searching for pictures the first time. I decided that I should add a few videos of my first band and I performing. I joined my first band in May of 2022 while I was still in middle school and it was one of the best decisions of my life. The band was called 'The Priorities' and I had the greatest experience which truly opened my eyes to the world of live music and being able to be apart of it like I had always dreamed. Unfortunately, The Priorities have ultimately disbanded due to unforeseen circumstances. But

It has been a couple of days since I last updated my blog and a lot has happened. Let me start from the beginning. After I published my last blog, I decided to start working on my commercial. I was gathering the pictures I needed and looking through cool transitions. But the app sent me a message saying that I cannot continue my project unless I delete storage since my phone was full. This meant that I had to delete some apps, pictures, and anything that would take up storage. I started deleting old screenshots that I didn't need anymore. Making my way to the apps, I deleted a few apps that I wasn't using anymore. While doing that, I unconsciously deleted CapCut on accident. I was wondering why my phone's storage got cleared so quickly! I didn't remember deleting the app. So when I went back to work on my commercial, I was confused as to why I couldn't find the app anymore. I figured that while clearing out my storage, I accidentally deleted CapCut in the process. R

Today I will be working on my first production blog. I have been searching for which editing software to use and have browsed many options. Initially, I was going to use Canva to edit all of my pictures together. But in the end I decided that I will be using CapCut to edit. CapCut is a free, downloadable mobile app on the App Store. Since it is mobile, it will hopefully be easier for me to piece my pictures together since I have all of my pictures on my phone's camera roll. I am pretty new to this whole “editing thing,” so I am not really sure how to work the app. CapCut has many really cool features. There is something called 'Script to video' where an AI can make an edit! There are also so many different premade templates that are accessible as a base of an edit. But for what I need the app for, I think the job will be pretty simple. Unfortunate how I can't use all those cool templates (yet.)  The song that I will be using for my commercial is Are You Gonna Be My Girl

Research/Planning

Hello again! For my commercial, I am going to be using pictures of me from some of my favorite moments throughout the years. I believe that these pictures represent who I am best and are the best way to get to know me. Like they say, one picture tells a thousand words! The first picture I will be using is from my first concert in 2014. My dad is a lightning designer and was working with Train and The Fray, which he got my family and I free tickets to. Even though I was young, I will always remember the feeling of hearing live music for the first time. At that moment I knew that music was what I was going to be passionate about for the rest of my life. A few months deeper into 2014 was when I received my first drum set, which is what my next picture is of. This gift made a huge impact on my life because 9 years later, I am still an active drummer. A bit of a time skip, but my following picture is from a production of The Lion King where I played Rafiki in 2021. As I previously mentioned
