Research/Planning
Hello again! For my commercial, I am going to be using pictures of me from some of my favorite moments throughout the years. I believe that these pictures represent who I am best and are the best way to get to know me. Like they say, one picture tells a thousand words! The first picture I will be using is from my first concert in 2014. My dad is a lightning designer and was working with Train and The Fray, which he got my family and I free tickets to. Even though I was young, I will always remember the feeling of hearing live music for the first time. At that moment I knew that music was what I was going to be passionate about for the rest of my life. But this production will always have a special place in my heart since I have never been able to play role where I felt so free and at home. My final picture was taken last August during a trip to New York. My best friend and our moms spent a few days there during the summer and we took a private tour of the Radio City Music Hall. While I am not sure how to explain the feeling I felt while I was on this stage, it was one of the most unreal and euphoric feelings I have ever felt. The picture below is from my first ever gig with my first band: The Priorities!
The song I've chosen for my commercial is "Are You Gonna Be My Girl" by Jet. While decided what song I wanted to use for my commercial was difficult, I believe that this song best fits who I am. I heard this song for the first time as a toddler and it has stuck with me ever since. My dad was the one to show me this song, and it was one of the first songs to make me fall in love with the rock genre. I feel like this song reflects who I am, both with the lyrics and the overall vibes of the song. For instance, "Big black boots, long brown hair," sounds like someone I know...
