 Unfortunately, Sammie, Lilly, and Isaac are not taking A Level Media Studies. My whole group from last year is gone! It's very sad because we all worked so well together. We worked so well that we ended up all getting As and Bs on our AICE exams! But, that brings new opportunities for a new group and new bonds. This year, I am only going to be working with one other person. Last year I worked with three other people, so the work was much more spread out and easier. It may be a bit more challenging with only two people in a group, but we will make it work. 

My new group member is named Aidan Poole. He is a junior like me and we have a few classes together. Last year, Aidan was in a different AS Level Media Studies period than me, but I have known him for a few years now. Aidan moved to Florida in 8th grade and was in my classes. He lived in North Carolina prior to that. He also goes to my church, so I have many connections with him. I have been on many trips with him and done a few musicals with him, so I know he is a very reliable person to work with, so I am not worried that we will get this done efficiently.

I refuse to work by myself in these types of projects. Not only is working in a group a lot easier because the work can be spread out, but it's also a lot more fun! I don't doubt that this is going to be a very enjoyable project. But, we have to start brainstorming ideas quick! Theres a lot of different parts to this project, so we need to get a head start.

 After finally finishing my commercial, it was time to start working on my music video. The group I am working with consists of three of my friends: Lilly, Samantha (Sammie,) and Isaac. For our song, we decided to do "Say It Ain't So" by Weezer. We were thinking of doing a song by The Beatles or Queen. But after a bit of convincing, we agreed to do a song by Weezer. The iconic choice would have been "Buddy Holly," but we decided in Say It Ain't so because we could create more elaborate scenes with this song. A very cool concept that we are planning on doing is making it seem like we are actually playing the song. Sammie plays guitar, Isaac plays bass, and I am a drummer. Lilly will pretend sing. Today I will be working on my first production blog. I have been searching for which editing software to use and have browsed many options. Initially, I was going to use Canva to edit all of my pictures together. But in the end I decided that I will be using CapCut to edit. CapCut is a free, downloadable mobile app on the App Store. Since it is mobile, it will hopefully be easier for me to piece my pictures together since I have all of my pictures on my phone's camera roll. I am pretty new to this whole “editing thing,” so I am not really sure how to work the app. CapCut has many really cool features. There is something called 'Script to video' where an AI can make an edit! There are also so many different premade templates that are accessible as a base of an edit. But for what I need the app for, I think the job will be pretty simple. Hello again! For my commercial, I am going to be using pictures of me from some of my favorite moments throughout the years. I believe that these pictures represent who I am best and are the best way to get to know me. Like they say, one picture tells a thousand words! The first picture I will be using is from my first concert in 2014. My dad is a lightning designer and was working with Train and The Fray, which he got my family and I free tickets to. Even though I was young, I will always remember the feeling of hearing live music for the first time. At that moment I knew that music was what I was going to be passionate about for the rest of my life. A few months deeper into 2014 was when I received my first drum set, which is what my next picture is of. This gift made a huge impact on my life because 9 years later, I am still an active drummer.
