Production Blog: Pre-Filming Struggles

Aidan and I were FINALLY able to set some time aside for each other and film our media project. We had a day off from school, so we decided to get some filming done. There were only a few issues though. Aidan was scheduled to work, I did not have a ride, and Aidan had to pick his mom up from work. These caused some issues because we were forced to meet later in the afternoon and I did not have a way of getting to our filming location. Since Aidan had to work as well as pick up his mom after work, we had to meet later in the day. He was able to pick me up from my house at around 6 PM, where we headed to our filming location which was the park. Luckily because of daylight savings, it was not dark outside yet.

However, as we were driving, we realized a huge dilemma. There are only two of us in this group, and we scripted in our storyboard that we were going to have more people in the video. We also need someone to film us! Oh no...we forgot to ask people to come help us be in our video! Aidan and I both rapidly called everyone we knew who lived close by to see if they were available. But Aidan's friends were all at some sports event, while my friends had their own things going on. We drove a bit further and pulled into the park's parking lot and continued making calls. Finally, I decided to call my friend Abby since she was our only hope. She responded quickly, and said she was able to come help us film! She even brought her boyfriend, Donovan (who is also one of Aidan's friends) to help by acting as Aidan's friend in the film. Without Abby and Donovan, this whole situation could have been way messier. We are so thankful for them!
